I am working to support litigation and law reform to strengthen and defend the rights to freedom of association and assembly in parts of Latin America, Europe and Africa; build support for, and use of, the Principles on Protest and Right to Information, including by working with networks of information commissioners and with CSOs in a few countries to help improve policies concerning the policing of protests; help develop legal resources, including FOAA online!; and identify and promote good cases, laws, policies and practices concerning whistleblowing, focusing on the public interest defence to unauthorised disclosures.
