The Government of Georgia will host the 5th OGP Global Summit in Tbilisi, Georgia, on July 17-19, 2018. The Summit will provide an excellent opportunity for leaders from OGP’s 76 participating countries, local governments, and beyond to exchange ideas on how they are making their governments more transparent, accountable, and responsive to citizens.

Joseph Foti has over 8 years of experience in assessing good governance. He works at the Open Government Partnership as the Program Director of the Independent Reporting Mechanism. Prior to joining OGP he worked as a Senior Associate for the Access Initiative, a network led by the World Resources Institute (WRI). During his time at WRI, he worked on access to information, public participation, and access to justice for environment, sustainable development, and climate change. His publications include Voice and Choice: Opening the Door to Environmental Democracy and A Seat at the Table: Including the Poor in Decisions for Development and Environment. Prior to working on public policy, he was a civil servant for 6 years, first as a first dogcatcher and then as a public school teacher.
