I manage the Global Partnership for Social Accountability in the World Bank Group (WBG) dedicated to expanding collaboration of civil society and governments in solving pressing governance problems through citizen engagement. After joining the WBG in 2000 as Senior Social Development Specialist I served in various capacities integrating participation and social accountability in Bank operations. I was Practice Manager for Social Accountability in the World Bank Institute from 2012 and for Open and Collaborative Governance in the Governance Global Practice from 2014. Before the WBG I worked 18 years in international development in civil society from Malawi, the US and the UK. I was in government and the private sector before that. My passion is all the about citizen-centered governance that thrives on informed, empowered and engaged citizens working with responsive states:
