Ivy Ong
Open Government Partnership Partnerships & Events Consultant for Asia-Pacific
The Philippines
I've been a member of the OGP Support Unit since February 2018. I provide support on executing country and local strategies in OGP participating countries in the Asia-Pacific region. This includes facilitating outreach to priority organizations who can help get traction on key thematic areas, engaging networks who can support implementation of ambitious commitments, identifying new stakeholders, and pushing on concrete opportunities to drive commitments on key themes.
My past lives include: shaping the design and implementation of the first ever Metro Manila Civic Innovation Fellowship, leading the Open Data Lab Jakarta of the World Wide Web Foundation as its Lab Director, and serving as Co-coordinator and Outreach Lead of the inter-agency team that built the Open Data Philippines program (data.gov.ph) which started in 2013, and continues to be part of the country's OGP Action Plan to this day. I was in government service from 2012 to 2016 as senior staff at the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Department of Budget and Management, Government of the Philippines.
