How to be Open Government Friendly When You Are a Donor

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This session is thought to be a multi-donor workshop to address two main issues: the trends in donors on open-government issues (included transparency and accountability issues) and the way through which international donors can apply open government principles to their funding decisions and aid management. What are the hot topics the donors see and are challenged on? How do they collectively support the open-government agenda? How they apply to themselves the main principles of open-government? This panel will focus on francophone countries, which are further behind than other countries among the OGP. What have the donors to cope with? How can they leverage on the decision-makers to channel funds to support open-government initiatives? Which experiences or success-stories could be used from other regions to help strengthening the open-government movement?
