The Government of Georgia will host the 5th OGP Global Summit in Tbilisi, Georgia, on July 17-19, 2018. The Summit will provide an excellent opportunity for leaders from OGP’s 76 participating countries, local governments, and beyond to exchange ideas on how they are making their governments more transparent, accountable, and responsive to citizens.

This session highlights innovative projects undertaken and tools built by reformers in government and civil society to tackle some of big open government challenges their countries face. The reformers will be sharing details of their initiatives through creative storytelling formats - TED-style talks, pitches, and reverse pitches, fireside chats, and stories. This session hopes to providing inspiring entry points to spark conversations around new networks and ideas that you could consider adapting in your own jurisdictions and contexts. This particular spotlight session will showcase stories from Brazil, Mexico, Ukraine, among many other countries. It will will also surface questions and approaches around effective use of technology and tool kits in tackling corruption and open government objectives more generally.
