Dashboards and Beyond: Data for Dialogue, Learning, and Impact

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

We will bring together public servants and civil society to:

  1. Explore why many ambitious OGP commitments do not translate into transformative change, and unpack how data might be used to drive learning, inform dialogue, and support greater impact
  2. Prototype an emerging approach to supporting the design, monitoring, and implementation of ambitious, high-impact OGP commitments.

We will begin with an interactive discussion focused on the factors that cause implementation gaps, and outline an approach to leveraging the power of data, and data dashboards, to help multistakeholder fora design, monitor, and implement more effective OGP commitments.

Small groups focused on OGP priority themes will then explore the application of the described approach, and reflect on potential barriers to its use. Reporting back in plenary, we will unpack how to address those barriers, and most effectively support efforts to translate ambitious commitments into impactful reforms.
