Making Decisions Together: How Deliberation Can Help Solve Difficult Issues and Rebuild Public Trust

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This fishbowl on civic engagement will use informal facilitation, expert commentators, and short examples to inform our audience and challenge them to join the discussion as we compare two very different types of engagement: consultation and deliberation. Our goal is simple: we want the audience to have an Aha! moment. We want people to leave with a sense that they have seen something different and exciting – a new and better way to resolve deep policy issues. Our facilitator and four speakers are leaders in deliberation and members of the OGP’s new Practice Group on Open Dialogue and Deliberation.
