Georgia is one of the first countries which started using Blockchain Technology in public services. Blockchain is widely considered to be a once in a generation revolutionary technology. The Blockchain is a distributed database. It is protected from cyber-attacks as well as physical destruction, as the records are not kept in one particular place, but in tens of thousands of computers all over the world. The data in Blockchain Technology builds up the continuous chain in form of blocks. Each block contains information about the transactions. Each of the subsequent block is linked to the previous block through a complex mathematical algorithm. All computers in the network automatically block any attempt of suspicious manipulation in particular data.

The panel includes topics about possible applications of the technology, its transformative potential, existing projects and practical example of Blockchain usage for property registration at the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) of Georgia.

The panel discussion will bring together some of the most important figures in the Blockchain community to talk about the following topics:

  1. Using Blockchain technology in property registration process: challenges and the benefits of the project
  2. Identifying the challenge to government ecosystems: potential use cases and real implementation of Blockchain Technology in government
  3. Reducing risks of fraud an illegal manipulation
  4. Using smart contracts in real estate transactions, increasing financial verification
  5. The opportunity for immediate transfers without third party verification
  6. Using blockchain for international projects, NAPR - HUB for governmental projects.
