The Government of Georgia will host the 5th OGP Global Summit in Tbilisi, Georgia, on July 17-19, 2018. The Summit will provide an excellent opportunity for leaders from OGP’s 76 participating countries, local governments, and beyond to exchange ideas on how they are making their governments more transparent, accountable, and responsive to citizens.
Africa on average makes the most ambitious commitments in comparison to other regions, yet the Africa innovation story has not been told in full. The session provides an opportunity to showcase some great open gov innovations that have been created through collaboration between government and civil society. The collective efforts by reformers from both sides have seen these amazing innovations improving service delivery, curbing corruption and giving citizens the space and voice to hold government accountable.
