Open and Digital Government

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Building a digital government means getting closer to citizens in the digital world. Not only do digital technologies enhance government transparency, they can also be employed to enable wider citizen participation in decision-making. Countries are progressively working together to share best practices, seek new approaches and promote the benefits of digital government.

The D7 (Digital7) is a group of countries that have formalized their commitment to becoming effective digital governments. D7 membership requires participation in the OGP as digital and open principles are mutually reinforcing. This session will discuss the overlap of open and digital government and explore the concept of digital inclusion.
