An Open Contracting Route to Better Transport Infrastructure

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

More than half of the US$97.5 trillion in infrastructure investments required to meet the Sustainable Development Goals is needed for transport. Yet there is a huge gap between the investment needed and money that will actually be spent; this means that life changing infrastructure is not being built. In this session, CoST - the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative and the Open Contracting Partnership will share success stories and lessons learnt on how open contracting improves transport infrastructure procurement and delivery. Drawing on our global work we will demonstrate how open contracting in infrastructure can and should be implemented everywhere.
