From Engagement to Co-Creation – Re-Building Trust for Better Open Government Reforms

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The panel will take stock of existing good practices on and challenges in co-creation. It will provide a forum to discuss how to take co-creation to the next level considering the new OGP co-creation standards and the need to (re)build trust in open government reforms.

Co-creation is at the heart of open government. An inclusive, trust-based, well-designed open dialogue between government and civil society is essential for good governance in the 21st century. Civil society places a spotlight on key policy issues, brings in expertise, plays a watchdog role, and ensures buy-in to crucial reforms.

Establishing inclusive co-creation mechanisms is the foundation of efforts to make governments more effective and efficient, less corrupt and more trusted.
