The Government of Georgia will host the 5th OGP Global Summit in Tbilisi, Georgia, on July 17-19, 2018. The Summit will provide an excellent opportunity for leaders from OGP’s 76 participating countries, local governments, and beyond to exchange ideas on how they are making their governments more transparent, accountable, and responsive to citizens.
To truly challenge and change how governments interact with citizens we have to ensure youth are fully engaged in the process of participatory governance
This event brings together an inspiring and game changing group of 12 young leaders from around the world who have been invited to participate in the OGP Summit to share their unique and powerful perspectives on how youth can contribute to the open government movement.
Participants attending this youth-led, interactive session will hear key recommendations and insights from the 12 young leaders on their experiences as agents of change, working to ensure their governments are more open, accountable and responsive to citizens. Participants will engage in an open discussion around the critical role of young people at all levels of decision making, and how to ensure open government reforms better serve youth populations.
Just say no to boring panels and speeches! This session will be open, dynamic and collaborative. We are looking for energy, ideas and new thinking to ensure the future of open government is driven through partnerships with and for young people!
