Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The potentially corrupting power of lobbying has been a central element of recent elections around the World. From politicians running on a promise to “drain the swamp” to citizens protesting against free trade agreements citing the influence of lobbyists, popular discontent with the influence of special interests is rising. This panel will bring together different stakeholders from the local to the supra-national level on lobbying and its transparency. They will show the real world progress that has recently been made on lobby transparency. The panel will also discuss possible regulatory best practices as well as why lobbying regulation is in the best interest of governments, citizens as well as lobbyists.
