Public procurement is one of the Governments' number one risk of corruption. Building on this assessment, the concept of open contracting promises to deliver a higher level of transparency all through the process, a more effective and trustworthy Government, and a better business environment. The Contracting 5 has emerged as a leading peer-learning network within the international Open Government community to promote and shape open contracting reforms.

The objective of this panel is to share stories, case studies and argue for the spread of an open contracting scheme by design within the different countries' public procurement systems. Gathering high-level speakers from the C5 countries, from the Open contracting partnership board and SCOs, this panel is designed to give insights and vision of the achievements and for the next future of Open contracting.
