The Government of Georgia will host the 5th OGP Global Summit in Tbilisi, Georgia, on July 17-19, 2018. The Summit will provide an excellent opportunity for leaders from OGP’s 76 participating countries, local governments, and beyond to exchange ideas on how they are making their governments more transparent, accountable, and responsive to citizens.

Going Beyond Good Intentions to Action: How Can Global Anti-Corruption Summits Support the Implementation of Reforms?

Do global anti-corruption events catalyze anti-corruption reforms at the national level? This conversation will provide an opportunity for OGP participants to take stock of the progress made in major anti-corruption forums in recent years, starting with the 2016 Anti-Corruption Summit and looking towards the 2018 International Anti-Corruption Conference in Copenhagen.

Government and civil society reformers will highlight key emerging areas of reform, as well as a draw a shared roadmap for dialogue and action over the coming months. More specifically, it will help surface concrete opportunities for advancing reform agenda, including through OGP action plans.
