Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The proposed session adopts a Panel format, under dynamic moderation, with the top leadership of key global organisations working on the role of money in politics. At a time of both increased digital fundraising by political parties and online campaign spending, overseeing the role of money in politics is taking a new turn. The objective of the session will be to provide insight on the impact e-reporting systems for political finance can have in preventing political corruption and increase transparency, allowing for a more effective monitoring by political finance regulators and scrutiny by civil society and media. The outcome of the session is an increased awareness on the innovation offered by e-reporting systems for political finance in tackling political corruption. Follow-up opportunities of the session will identify areas for improving legislative frameworks, as well as deliver innovative capacity-building to financial regulators, civils society organizations and media.
