CoST - the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative Communications Manager
London, United Kingdom
CoST - the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative (CoST) works with
government, industry and civil society to promote the disclosure, validation and interpretation of data from infrastructure projects. This helps to inform and empower citizens and enables them to hold decision-makers to account. Our experience indicates that Informed citizens and responsive public institutions help drive reforms that reduce mismanagement, inefficiency, corruption and the risks posed to the public from poor quality infrastructure.
I manage communications at CoST and its host organisation, Engineers Against Poverty - two roles I love to do and which allow me to oversee a number of communications areas. I support CoST representation at key international events, improve its presence on digital and cover its media work. I also focus on telling the success stories of CoST through different fora (films, magazines and other glossy promo!)
I'd love to discuss comms with others, but also interested in hearing about other similar initiatives and different approaches to open government.
